I’m a bit behind on my postings! I’ve been very busy lately with the new baby and with deadlines in my IT business. In late August I shot Ashley’s Senior Portraits with Chris Tierney. It was a combined Trash the Dress/Senior shoot. I did all of the TTD shots then later Chris did the senior photos, although, I did snap a few of my own as he was shooting in addition to helping him get his lighting setup for his shots.
For this shoot we tried out Canon’s Wireless TTL technology. To put it simply, I didn’t care for it much at all. Even in doors there was very little consistency in both flash firing and in flash consistency. Wired TTL works great and of course manual flash with my Alien Bee Cybersyncs works perfectly but the Wireless TTL leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe some day Canon will license RadioPopper’s technology and built it into the cameras! One can only wish.
